Brockton - February 15, 2026

It was a beautiful day out on the streets of Brockton on Sunday with a temperature around 34° and bright blue skies. LYNN Ministries served 62 meals, and even more snacks and hot drinks, across three locations. We had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, St. Mary's Foxboro

So many of our friends were thrilled to see us after being “home-bound” for 3 weeks. (A big snowstorm followed by two weeks of frigid temperatures where it was dangerous for them to get to our serving locations.) Joanne had people signing cards for our friend Harry, who died of a stroke in January, and for Deb who had wrist surgery on Thursday.

Overall the theme of the day seemed to be laughter. Everyone was in a good mood and joking around and so very appreciative to see the team.

Here is the list of prayers:

– Shaggy turned 66 on Friday the 13th and so we sang happy birthday to him.

– Phillip is praying for everyone on the streets.

– Mary P needs a new hip

– Donna H is praying that she gets moved into a new home in Stoughton, hopefully a place with a balcony.

– Jim and Sharon are a couple that we have been serving for many years (together for >10 years but not legally married). As a result, Jim is living in a car while Sharon has a warm room in Jeff’s Place. We are praying for both of them.

– Marie is praying for her family.

– Sal was full of laughter and wanted to be “snuggled like French toast”. One of our volunteers decided that Sal reminds her of Olaf from the movie Frozen (always happy).

– We prayed for Jack, whose dog Sadie died on Super Bowl Sunday.

– Debora is praying that Sharika, her caseworker, can help her get into a new living location in Stoughton

– Scott is praying for his daughter Nicole.

– Brittany is praying for strength as her fiancé was killed in a car accident, her ex-husband died a couple years ago, and she has now been clean from heroin for 10 years.

– Kathy broke her foot and sprained her ankle.

– List of people asking for general prayers includes Sheila, Freddy, Wilfredo, Linda and Anthony, and Anna

We thank you all for your contributions of prayer and resources that help keep LYNN Ministries bring the love of Jesus to the streets of Brockton and Attleboro for over 15 years.
