The Loss of a Friend - Steve Carroll

Our board member Eric spent time with Steve and had the following to say about our time knowing him.

Our friend Steve Carroll passed away on Thursday in his sleep. Steve lived on Green St in Brockton for as long as we knew him - at least 10 years. He had a thankful spirit, always grateful for everything he had. He regularly received visitors, opening his apartment to friends and strangers alike. Through the years we learned that Steve had served in the US Navy and worked as a machinist in Stoughton, MA. His favorite machine to operate was the end mill, or Bridgeport. In his midlife, he attended a local church regularly; in his later years, we were glad to bring "church" to him. Some of his hobbies included assembling model cars and playing cribbage with best friend Brian (who died earlier this year). He had a tough time quitting smoking, even when he was on oxygen (and sometimes with dramatic consequences). We always enjoyed visiting him and we will miss Stevie dearly.
