Thank you to our volunteers - October 28, 2024
To say this has been a challenging season in the life of LYNN Ministries and in our own personal life doesn't do justice. The Snow family has been challenged the entire year of 2024 with Deb's multiple surgeries this spring and summer, with the passing of Jeep's mom, with our daughter's own serious medical situation this past week, and now with Deb's ankle surgery tomorrow. Through it all the volunteers who keep this ministry running smoothly have stepped up and assumed so much responsibility. Those of you providing encouragement and prayer support - your efforts have been so very valuable and welcomed. To our knowledge, none of those we serve on the streets of Attleboro or Brockton have been let down as we've experienced so much personal unrest. In addition to our personal struggles, the ministry has experienced many transitions as we've had to relocate our work space and storage, lost our cooking space for 6 weeks this summer and had to rely on other organizations to do more than in the past. We have been humbled at the flexibility of so many volunteers and supporters. We've been humbled at God's grace and provision when we were getting desperate. We've been humbled at the love and encouragement shared by so many who believe in what this ministry stands for. I thank you all for all the ways you contribute, all the ways you work behind the scene to get the jobs done that no one else notices, all the ways you have lifted me and our family up during some really challenging times. And I thank you in advance for all that will continue to happen to serve the "least of these" in my absence over the next few months. This surgery is a big one for me (Deb) and for my family. It demands that I give up control and trust others to run this ministry and to care for me - something that does not come easy for me. I will be out of commission for the next few months and I pray for all those that will be involved in keeping things running smoothly while I recover. I thank you all in advance for your continued prayers and support and I look forward to being back on the streets with our friends in February, sharing the love of Jesus that literally gives me life through loving. Thanks to you all and I'll see you on the other side of surgery.
