Brockton - October 27, 2024

Here is an update from Sunday’s LYNN Ministries team (led by a bible study group from Waters Church) that served 129 meals in Brockton. We are soooo thankful for you guys serving in our absence. (Did I mention this post is late?) We hope they had a tremendous experience serving our Lord! Here is their report.

We arrived in Brockton a little bit before noon. We promptly set up the soup, snacks, and drinks. The line formed quickly with regular and new faces. We took time to pray with those who were already lined up. Afterwards, the team that Jairah and I had enlisted eagerly assumed their serving / praying roles in and out of line. We served many people and had the opportunity to pray over several of them. As we began to pack up, as you predicted some late comers came by (it happens like clockwork) and we delayed our next stop to accommodate them.

Next, we went to the second stop, where we served more people and exhausted all the food and drink we had prepared. A member of our team even offered his own personal jacket to a gentleman in need.

The whole afternoon was executed without any incidents or arguments among those we were serving. After serving we convened at a local Dunkin to discuss and reflect on the needs and how we were impacted. Jairah and I would like to thank you, Deb & John, for allowing us to assist this past Sunday. Our bible study team was positively impacted by being afforded the opportunity to serve. (Prayer list is attached as a photo.)

Thank you Alex and Jairah, we heard your team was fantastic! So happy to have you serve in our absence. To our followers and contributors, thank you for your faithful support of LYNN Ministries. It will be a couple months before Deb is allowed to be serving on the streets again, but I hope to bring her out for a quick visit in a few weeks. God bless you all! This week of all weeks (elections), please be the love and peace of Christ to all those around you!
