Jesus on the Streets (the sun and Son were evident) - May 21, 2023
Here’s an update from the LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship that served on Sunday.
God blessed our team with a beautiful day to serve our friends in Brockton, after a real soaker yesterday. We are so thankful for all who prepared meals and helped serve in the city. We had numerous important encounters from among the 99 people we served. We are always overwhelmed by the gratitude shown from those for whom we are doing such a small thing.
There were many new faces among the crowd today. We were blessed by Matthew's story of recovery and devotion to Christ. We ran into two young men who were feeding people and sharing the gospel in the park by the library. What an encouragement to see young adults passionate about loving Jesus and loving others.
Of course the needs are great and sometimes overwhelming, but looking for God working in the middle of it all brings hope.
Please join us in praying for the following:
- Scanlon who is new to Brockton, living in the shelter, and hoping for a new beginning.
- Chris whose girlfriend is having multiple health issues on top of constant struggles with addiction.
- Sal who lost his mom and his partner in the past month. Both continue to weigh heavily on Sal, although he was so very appreciative of our prayers.
Thank you again for your continued support and prayers. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
