Jesus on the Streets (on a cold day) - November 20, 2021

On the first day of a double header weekend, it was cold and beautiful in Brockton where we served 100 Thanksgiving meals. There were a lot of charities out serving today, which is good because the need is great so we moved between 6 locations to make sure people felt loved all over the city.

Special prayers for Robert, who’s recovering his health at the shelter. Gina who is new to homelessness and sleeping outside. Anthony is almost 5 months sober! Alison who was helped by a stranger out of a violent situation. Willy is praying for his 3 children. Roscoe is living in a tent and has ankle surgery on Monday. Steve is recovering from a heart attack. Eugene is learning to count in English. Devon is praying for self-discipline. Kenney is sad as Thanksgiving is the anniversary of his son’s death. Greg had successful hip surgery. Donny was pleased to get new work boots. Maria was thankful for our service as she has been homeless for a long time (survived 56 overdoses in her younger days)!

We are so thankful for your support and prayers. We and our friends on the street wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
