Jesus on the Streets (on a beautiful summer day) - July 31, 2022

Today was a beautiful day in Brockton with temps around 85 deg and dry air. We served 101 meals and saw a bunch of our friends. Here’s the list of prayer requests.

Chris and Jacqueline are asking for peace. A different Chris, is hoping to get his family back together. Andrew is hurting because his mom died on Tuesday and he hasn’t yet had a chance to grieve. Robert’s feet are failing him and he blames Jesus. I reminded him that his alcoholism is what’s killing his feet and that it’s never too late for a miracle. Kasheef prayed for Deb riding in the PMC next week. A different Andrew is hoping to stop using, making, and selling drugs and now wants to go into rehab and his friend Patrick wants to stay safe. Frank has an injured back and can barely move, but still finds time to cleanup the church and the parking lot. He says hi to Steve Desantis who gave Frank the sneakers he was wearing. (Steve gave Frank the shoes off his own feet earlier this year.) Wendy now has a housing voucher but still hasn’t found a place to live. (When you “get” housing you still have to find a place you can afford so you haven’t really “gotten” housing.) Jeremy relapsed after completing Teen Challenge rehab and is now praying for help against his addiction along with a home and job and financial stability.

Today we say goodbye to Lyla who has served with us for two years but will be leaving for college soon. We are so thankful for how our friends share their burdens with us and thankful to you, our prayer warriors and supporters.
