Jesus on the Streets (on a beautiful day) - November 7, 2021

It was a beautiful fall day in Brockton as we served 91 meals across 3 locations. The mood on the streets was calm but we had a number of women new to the streets or trying to escape abusive environments.

There were many prayer requests. Robert has been in the hospital as his liver is shutting down but sadly he hasn’t yet heard from his brother. Mike is trying to help his girlfriend but can’t get her into the shelter. Junior is very discouraged because he fell off the wagon. Anthony has almost reached 5 months of sobriety and is praying he can make to 1 year, and then he hopes to cut back on smoking. Troy is asking for healing prayers for his mother and for his brother to accept Christ. Dwayne is praying he can get into rehab. Eric is a homeless veteran trying to get back to Pennsylvania to help his mother but he needs an ID. Matthias is a little boy and we had a wonderful conversation about why we like church. Danny is hoping to get custody of his young daughter and move into an apartment with his mother.

Many of our friends are living in horrible conditions with little hope for a comfortable future. We try to share our hope with them and restore a sense of dignity. Thank you to our volunteers and supporters who let us do this holy work.
