Jesus on the Streets (on a beautiful day) - February 27, 2022

Here’s a report from the team that served today.

Today was a beautiful day for serving, where we shared 87 meals of hot meatball casserole and people really enjoyed it! Ken came back for seconds and said we should serve this again. A steady flow of people meant all the food was served at a single location.

Many prayers were asked and in some cases we saw our friends ministering to each other. (That is growth!) Next week it will be 8 months that Anthony will have been sober. He ministered to Kiki as she tearfully reflected on the death of their friend Black. Then Kiki shared that today was her birthday, so we got to joyfully sing Happy Birthday to her. Later in the day, we sang Happy Birthday to another woman as well. Kinesha came by after leading worship in her church to get a meal for Pastor Roberto. Jose said I could pray for "everything". Someone else asked us to pray for all the hungry people in Brockton as well as around the world. Kenny is not good with God right now as his leg was injured when we was run over by a scooter. Jonathan received healing prayers having recently been hit by a car while in his wheelchair. We continue to pray for peace on the streets of Brockton, and that vehicular violence would be stopped. Vincent is working at Christmas Tree shop and is hoping to move up to a better job soon. He reintroduced us to Michelle, who we remember as having a beautiful singing voice. She shared some of her needs, and we were able to share provisions and prayer with her. She took some extra meals to share with friends who were also in need.

Thank you so much to our team who served and to those who support LYNN Ministries!
