Jesus on the Streets - March 12, 2023
Brockton was overcast, cold(ish), and windy today making it a bit raw, at least until the end of the day when the sun came out. We served 81 meals of Amish Chicken casserole, along with home baked goods, fruit, and hot drinks. A student group from Norwood High School made packages of socks and water bottles, which we handed out as well.
The day started out slow and then got really busy but it was a really good day!
We have the following prayer requests:
Jay is looking for a job
Angela is praying for her two sons. She hasn’t talked to them in 10 days.
Theresa is praying for patience with the people in her house.
Elizabeth is praying for her boyfriend Peter who is recovering from an accident.
Keith wants to cleanup the parking lot for Pastor Roberto. (Nice guy!)
Chris is praying for his daughter who is pregnant. (He’s also praying she has a boy.)
Uncle is heartbroken because his girlfriend left. (He was having a tough day.)
John is praying that he avoids drugs and alcohol today.
Ashley is praying for her dad who is 70 and won’t go see his doctor.
Erica and Nori are living under a bridge and praying for safety.
Rui tells us that Sammy hasn’t been drinking in 3 days.
It is so heartwarming when our friends come for a meal and then hang out with us for 30-40 minutes, just because they feel loved and safe!
Thank you to all our followers and supporters. Your prayers and contributions are felt and appreciated out on the streets. God bless!
