Jesus on the Streets (it was dry!) - June 25, 2023
Today we served 125 meals in Brockton when it was supposed to rain, but for once we stayed dry. (It was a smorgasbord of leftovers.) We had a very small team, only 5 of us, which could have been a disaster but God showed up and made the whole day a success! It was truly an amazing day, our friends on the street were awesome, well behaved and self-policing. (One person acted up but all our friends intervened and corrected the situation.) Here are some of the prayer requests:
- Francisco is having difficulty recovering from surgery and is asking for healing.
- Irene is worried about a biopsy coming up and has a pulled neck.
- Lorraine has a bad knee and asked to receive communion. (Always happy to share communion.)
- Kenney and I had a long talk about God’s plan for him here in Brockton and he’s not happy about it. He’s praying for some rest.
- Bettie is thankful to have an apartment starting on July 1 (or 15).
- Reschel was hit by a car 6 mos ago and has a bad knee. She’s praying for healing.
- Michaell has a boxer’s fracture from punching a wall and is hoping for fast healing.
- Rodney is praying for his family and 3 kids.
- Kevin is praying for work this week.
- Sammy has been sober 35 days and is praying for back surgery in a few months. (He has to ge sober for 4 months.)
- Barbara is rating for safety in her wheelchair.
It was an amazing day, watching God at work, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your continued support. (Still, 125 served with only 5 people. Amazing! 😲)
