Jesus on the Streets (in the pouring rain) - April 23, 2023

Today was a very wet day in Brockton so by the time we were done serving 82 people, our bodies were pretty cold but our hearts were really warm. Serving is always rewarding but being out in bad weather develops a strong bond with our friends and opens them to heartfelt prayer.

- Chris is praying that Theresa stays off drugs.

- Victor is praying his son Daniel will be good.

- Andy is praying for security

- Francisco is praying for healing following surgery

- Rodney is asking for prayers for his family

- Tony is praying to get out of the shelter (we hear this a lot)

- Laird is praying for good health

- Mike is praying for his family’s safety and his own health (liver)

- Vincent is praying for wisdom for finances

- Erika is praying for safety

- Ray needs lots of prayers as he is new to the streets

- Junior is struggling with addictions

- Ryan didn’t need prayer, until he did. He really wants to avoid bad things

- Richelle just wants God’s blessing

- Lorraine is asking if we can serve communion more frequently and is hoping for housing

- Mark seems broken and feels ashamed that he needs to ask for pants

- Justin needs a cane because someone stole his, and wants prayer for everything

- Anita and her husband were thrilled to get sleeping mats

- Noriega (Nori) had a premonition she might die soon and is really worried. (She missed her ride to work while praying with us so really hoping God comes through for her.)

- Nicky’s hands are a mess (frostbite over the winter) so Rich gave her the gloves in his pocket

- Jimmy is becoming really courteous and patient. Such a change in just the past 3 months. It’s incredible.

We are so very blessed to be entrusted with this ministry and the hopes and fears of all those we are serving. Thank you for helping us serve the least of these through your prayers and your contributions.
