Jesus on the Streets - April 16, 2023
Sunday the LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship in Easton served in Brockton. Here is their report:
It was an unusually busy day feeding and interacting with our friends in Brockton. We served 120 meals and could have served more. The sheer number of people coming through the line made one-on-one time with friends challenging, yet we were able to pray with and for several friends struggling with hardships of life on the streets.
Substance abuse remains the number one problem and the most recognizable trap people are ensnared in. Every time someone high stumbles through the serving line, we cry out for God to deliver that soul from their bondage.
- Specifically we ask God to provide Christina with hope and a sense of worth because her Heavenly Father loves her and created her in his image.
- We pray for Scott’s physical wellbeing, for Sammy to be released from alcohol addiction, and for friends to experience Christ as they grieve the loss of a couple who died from an overdose yesterday in the park behind the library.
We thank God that he is present even in the brokenness. We know that his light is greater than any darkness creeping around on the streets. We pray for those who are in Brockton, everyday, bringing hope and practical help to those on the streets.
Thank you all so much for supporting LYNN Ministries through your gifts and prayer.
