Jesus on the Streets (in Attleboro) - September 9, 2023
Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team at Evangelical Covenant Church, Attleboro about Saturday’s day of service in Attleboro.
It was a hot and humid day, but a pleasure to serve our friends in Attleboro with provisions of clothing, drinks, snacks, prayer, and encouragement. We are seeing a lot of new and younger faces, folks that are new to the area, and need a lot of help. Requests for special orders are up, and folks are already thinking of the cold weather.
In terms of answered prayers and praise, we’ve been praying for many months for Sean to be able to find a job. He now has a job a the Taunton DMV.
Irma and her family have immigrated from Guatemala, and they have a number of needs, including clothes and work.
Tammy is asking for prayers in finding a job, and for her husband’s anger issues.
Linda is asking for her prayers, as she is a diabetic, and it becoming increasingly problematic for her.
Ms. LeBlanc’s old truck has problems that her mechanic has been unable to fix, and she has no vehicle to commute from Wrentham to her job (the Hobby store) in Attleboro.
We visited 3 different campsites where folks are living outside. There are a lot of nerves, as folks are trying to get housing before the cold weather sets in.
Eric and Carrie have been outside for about a year now, and are trying to get work and treatment at the same time. They were extremely grateful for the tent, and other provisions that we were able to give to them, as their campsite had been vandalized, and their tent was burned.
George and Debbie are also outside, and Debbie has many health issues for which she has been hospitalized. She was glad for our visit, but is having a tough time living outside.
We ask for your prayers for all of these folks in these situations. Thank you for your donations, time serving, baking, and prayers for this ministry.
