Jesus on the Streets - February 26, 2023
It was a cold raw day in Brockton where we served 96 meals (a variety of home cooked casseroles) along with fresh baked goods and fresh fruit. It was an adventure because at the first stop the spigot on the carafe of coffee broke and poured all over me and Alicia (so we had a wet cold day). Then one of our friends decided to confront another friend (who is bipolar) and that turned into a shouting match with a lot of curse words flying around. (I thought we were on church property and people agreed to behave but…) Anyway, it got interesting.
There were only 6 of us so we were pretty busy. Prayers were requested for:
- Antonio who has lost 3 family members in the past 2 weeks. His uncle recently had surgery and everything looked good until it didn’t and he died in the hospital. Antonio hasn’t slept in three days and can’t get his head straight.
Anthony hasn’t seen his mom in a year but is seeing her today and asking for a good reunion.
Russell has pneumonia.
Patrick is living outside and everything he has was stolen.
Will N is hoping the transmission on his car can be fixed. (He drives older folks to church.)
Tony is doing well after hip surgery and throat cancer (lost his voice box).
Carlitos is still living under the bridge
Chris is living outside.
Thank you to all our sponsors and prayer warriors!
