Jesus on the Streets - February 19, 2023

On Sunday the LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship was serving in Brockton. Here is their report.

We had a wonderful day of engaging with our friends on the streets of Brockton. About 75 people enjoyed a hot meal, some conversation, and opportunities for prayer and sharing. It was a peaceful day at our usual stop behind the church on Main Street. We prayed over Robin who is desperately seeking shelter, over Maricella who is in a tough place but very concerned for the well-being of her 5 adult children, Mike and Kathleen who will be out of their apartment at the end of the month and need a place to live, Jose who continues to need help with a place to live and for treatment on his eye. We also prayed with Angela who came to us at the very end of our stop. We were able to get Angela some warm clothing items and also pray for God to meet her in her brokenness. Angela was overcome with gratitude for others to hear her and intercede on her behalf. We thank God that we were still there when she came around.

At the library, we fed a large crowd of men, most of whom were intoxicated. Some moments of heated argument across the street quickly came to a halt, but there was very much a sense of darkness among the group. Many of the friends we've come to know and love were not in their right minds. We pray for a wall of protection around them and a conquering of the dependency that drags them down. We thank God for sober, right-minded men among them like George.

Thank you to all our supporters who make this ministry possible.
