Jesus on the Streets (double header weekend) - May 15-16, 2021
Day 1 - It was a warm, beautiful day in Brockton (finally) but we still managed to get some rain (oh well). We served 90 meals of homemade chili and blessed at least 100 people with clothes, toiletries, and other provisions.
Our friend Will was thrilled to receive new reading glasses. Eric was upset because his friend Chris had been stabbed in the neck last night. Donna asked for prayer and thanksgiving for not being hurt by the gunshots fired in the park on Thursday night. Steve really appreciated the model paints we supplied and was thrilled we helped him talk to Brian on a video chat. We prayed for Greg because his mom recently passed away.
We only had part of the team in the group photo (sorry guys).
Day 2 - was another warm day in Brockton but we still had a few sprinkles of rain. (What the heck?) We had 2 new guys helping us serve 78 meals and actually ran out of food so we had to buy a couple pizzas to serve our friends at the Library.
Robert is super excited that he’s going to be a grandpa. Steve (who walks with a cane) got beaten up and robbed in the shelter. Eric made it through the night but is still worried that he’s not safe. Ty was thankful to receive a new sleeping mat. Vincent has submitted his paperwork for a green card and praying it is processed quickly. April has severe abdominal pain and needs prayer. Anthony is scheduled for a kidney transplant. Bobby goes to court on the 20th. Usher is patiently waiting for his girlfriend to arrive.
We are so very thankful for the people who trust us every week, those we serve, those who serve beside us, and those who contribute to make this ministry possible.
