Jesus on the Streets (3rd Saturday) - August 19, 2023
It was the 3rd Saturday and a beautiful day to be serving in Brockton where 106 people enjoyed loaded baked potatoes. We also had a full load of clothes. There was overwhelming need as a large group of new arrivals in Brockton were waiting for us to arrive. We were out of food and clothes after only 2 stops, which is surprising when we only allow 1 item per “customer.”
There were a number of prayer requests and fun visitors.
- Jose wants prayers for his eyesight as he has surgery on the 25th.
- Patrick was hospitalized with pneumonia and seizures earlier in the week
- Maria wants prayers for her stomach
- Alejandro asked for prayers as he is testing for his license in September which would allow him to get a job.
- Janet needs prayers as she was definitely struggling with her meds.
- Yanni is praying for strength as he heads into rehab to get clean
- Marta stopped by to say hi and she’s doing really well (we haven’t seen her in 2 years)
- Kat is 19 and has been on the streets since 16. She is praying for reconciliation with her family.
- Russell said there 3 simultaneous ODs yesterday and one person remains in ICU
- Brittany is praying for strength to go into program today
- George is worried about his friend Mingo who had a pacemaker put in.
Thank you all for your prayers and support for our ministry!
