Jesus on the Streets - November 27, 2022

It was a cool day in Brockton, threatening rain the whole time, as we served 85 meals. It was a smorgasbord of food (i.e., leftover day haha) and our friends were showing the desperation that comes from colder weather and end of month (low on cash).

We were mobbed as soon as we parked the truck but everyone was quite well behaved. Here are the prayers and concerns that were expressed.

  • Irene is excited to be on the waiting list for a gambling addiction program.

  • Holly’s sister Pat is still sick.

  • Anthony (the young ‘un) is feeling that he needs to do more with his life despite his seizure disorder. We look forward to seeing how God will lead him to walk a new path.

  • Leona has been homeless since Oct 13 and is worried.

  • Chris is living with Anthony right now but knows it can’t continue. (He needs a new place but has been thrown out of shelter.)

  • Anthony (the missionary) has a doctor appointment on Dec 2 to learn about chemo for his throat cancer. (They removed his voice box.)

  • Cory asked us to help him pray to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior. Yay! (This doesn’t happen often as we do not force our faith on our friends. We simply love them and let Jesus’ love draw them in.) Now we are introducing Cory to Pastor Roberto to get into a Bible study.

  • Kevin’s wife, Dawn, has Stage 4 cancer and is going through chemo. They’re both very scared.

  • Sammy woke up without back pain! He looked really good even though he still lives outdoors.

It was a good day of service! Thank you all for your continued blessing and support!
