Brockton - September 19, 2026
Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day for LYNN Ministries to be serving our friends on the streets of Brockton. It was a bit quiet for a 3rd Saturday, when we bring lots of clothes, but it may have been due to the nice weather. Even so, we served 77 meals across 3 locations and we drove through one of the more isolated parks, but didn’t find anyone in need.
We had a lot of fun and shared many laughs with our friends. We were joined by several young people today and it’s always a pleasure to see how much they are appreciated by those we serve.
There were a wide variety of prayer requests:
- Felix is asking for prayers that they are able to have the funeral for his mother, Sandy, this week. He is also waiting to get an MRI on his foot.
- Amanda is praying for her bunny thunder who died
- Audrey is Sandy‘s daughter and is hoping they can have the funeral this week so she can return south.
- Lucienne said the Lord‘s prayer in Haitian Creole for me
- Erica is trying to get into a detox location
- Matt was very excited to get a sleeping bag in 10 along with some clothes.
- Mike and Dan are both worried about being evicted by the end of the month. The rent is now $850 per month for a tiny little room. Mike just had back surgery and is in a lot of pain and needs prayer.
- Jessica is praying for sobriety and progress
- Chris and Joanne are praying to get some permanent housing.
- Russell is praying for peace on the streets.
- Kerry is praying to be able to get sober.
- Anthony is praying for work.
- Eric is praying for freedom of his mind.
- Marie was so pleased to receive communion.
- Gill is praying for his sister Maribel who has bronchitis.
- Jason is praying that everyone stays healthy and happy.
- James is watching a friend’s dog who is ready to have puppies. He’s praying the dogs remain healthy.
- Mary is praying for health.
- General prayers are requested for: Andrea, Ranger Joe, James and his wife, Tara, Linda, and Alex
It was a beautiful day to be serving our friends and to bring the love of Jesus to those in need. We thank all of those who pray for this ministry and support us in so many ways.
