Brockton - October 6, 2024

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served 130 meals of Chicken Parmesan casserole today in Brockton.

It was a beautiful day of service. We were able to share all of the delicious Chicken Parm casserole as well as a few sweatshirts. Prophetess Ikiah (85 yo) gave everyone on the team friendly fist bumps!

People gathered quickly behind Pastor Roberto's as we set up to serve. As the line became long one man with a child on his shoulders made angry illegal immigration remarks and things started to get heated. Fortunately, tempers calmed and we were able to get on with our service. Please keep our teams in your prayers as the colder months are ahead and our friends are getting scared.

Some of today's prayers include:

Jose - asked for prayer to find work doing painting and repair work.

Chris - grieving the loss of his wife Edwina.

Carlos - prayed to get work in a restaurant and to be reconciled with his children

Kevin - asked that we pray for his girlfriend Marci.

Arthur - 65 yrs old, recently homeless from Maine. He has not endured a winter outside. Joanne gave him a sleeping mat. He plans to fill out his social security paperwork this week. We prayed that God would provide for all his needs and the government would do its part.

Angel - she was tearful but wouldn't receive prayer.

Katnesia - she was scared and fearful of her safety. Joanne prayed for divine protection over her.

Mark - He was recently living and working at a hotel on the South Shore, but the hotel was taken over for immigrant housing and now he is living outside in Brockton.

Chris - he asked that we pray for John John who is in the ICU at Good Samaritan. John John had gotten clean, but relapsed once and overdosed.

Eric - asked that we would pray for courage to go to detox and far away from Brockton. He 's young and smart and full of purpose, but bad decisions have put him on the street.

Donna (Rocky) - met us at the Library. Bob and I prayed for her to find a new job.

Sarah - her foot is badly infected and needs some of it to be amputated. Bob gave her his waterproof jacket.

As you can see, circumstances are making our friends feel more desperate as the cold weather approaches. Please be praying for LYNN Ministries ability to bring the love of Jesus to those who are desperately in need of hope. Thank you all for your ongoing support!
