Brockton - October 5, 2025
Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served on Sunday. Though they only had 7 people to serve they accomplished so much good!
Today was a gorgeous fall afternoon for the LYNN team to serve our friends in Brockton. We were met with smiles and gratitude, along with sadness and pain.
God allowed us time to offer a delicious meal, cold drink and deep heartfelt prayer to 124 people.
So many of our friends are worried about the cold weather coming, mourning the loss of a sister & friend, asking for healing from car accidents & health diagnosis, for sobriety, to get into affordable safe housing, safety and good health for the people they care about.
Here is the prayer list:
– Bob asked prayers for his state of mind as his sister recently passed away. He hopes to go into detox on Friday.
– Leon is praying for a friend.
– Brian, who was 72 passed away while sleeping. He was always with our friend Sue.
– Sue is praying because the police have been making sweeps of the park and removing all tents and personal belongings. She is in a wheelchair and now has no clothes or any other personal belongings.
– Mary was hit by a car and was in the hospital for two weeks. The doctors say she needs a knee replacement. She is frightened because she is homeless and doesn’t know how she can manage all of that.
– Patrick asks for prayers for his friends and for his family.
– Rashawn is praying for kindness and he again surprised us by allowing us to lay on hands to pray over him.
– Anna Maria is praying for financial stability.
– Mike is praying for his family to be safe. He is very sad because his girlfriend passed away.
– Junior is praying for his friend Papa‘s health. And also praying for his niece and nephew and for housing.
– William just asked for prayer.
– Neilson is praying for sobriety.
– Sean is praying about an upcoming court case.
– Jennifer had her wallet stolen and asked for prayers to get her money and ID back
– Hanover is asking for prayers to grow in faith.
– Josh is asking for strength to let those things go that no longer help him.
– Mike is praying for his health.
– Aurelius is also praying for his health.
This weeks team included volunteers from: Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, St. Mary's Foxboro, Grace Chapel, Stonehill College
People asked we pray for kindness in the city and the mayoral election.
Emotions were running high and many spoke of the uptick in violence.
We thank our supporters for the material things provided and especially for the prayers you continue to bring before the Lord.
They matter, He is listening.
