Brockton - October 11, 2026

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served on Sunday.

It was a cool and overcast day on Sunday in Brockton. There were a few people waiting for us when we pulled up at Perkins Park to serve a dinner of Thai chicken and rice. (It smelled great.) We served a lot of people and distributed some sweatshirts and hoodies.

We then moved to an area hidden in the middle of the city where a group of homeless people were finding shelter. Several of these people were new to us and seemed deeply grateful for the food, hoodies and ponchos and the chance to talk to people who cared about the struggles they were facing. We prayed with several young women there before moving on to another park that was very full and we served another large group of people. Finally we moved to serve some of our friends on Spring Street. It was a busy day and we enjoyed having two new teen volunteers who brought great compassion and joy to their service!

We prayed with lots of people:

* Wilfredo asked for prayers for his family and for the LYNN Min team that we might be well and able to continue our ministry. He always beams with positive energy,

* Francisco has lump on back of head but it’s just fatty tissue. He’s supposed to have day surgery but he already missed too much work. He prays that it stays a non-issue until he gets the surgery also he asked for prayers for his family.

* Ashley didn’t want prayer but was feeling thankful

* Jennifer is mourning her friend Cherie. They were going to get sober together but Cherie died. We prayed for God’s love and strength to pursue recovery.

* No-name girl left her home with her boyfriend a year ago. Has not seen brother and sister since May. She also misses her dog.

* Katie asked prayers for Hakim, her fiancée, Findlay her bunny and Nancy her mom. Prays that they can all be together.

* Pretti, seemed frantic because God told her to find her friend Tasha and get her to come home with because the street is not safe. We prayed that God would keep Tasha safe and that Pretti would have the right words to convince her friend to seek safety.

* John asked for prayers for mindfulness and peace. Not just for himself but for everyone.

* James is excited about learning how to read.

* Lisa Marie sees surgeon on 10/28

* Shaggy had his keys and his cell phone stolen.

* Stanley's late mom's birthday (Sandy) is on Thursday.

* Andrea just plugging along but in better spirits.

* Zamboni John is very discouraged.

Thank you so much to all those who help LYNN Ministries care for our friends on the street!
