Brockton - May 4, 2025

It was a beautiful day on the streets of Brockton, where LYNN Ministries served 87 people a meal of Chicken Parmesan, fresh fruit, home baked goods, and cold drinks. We had volunteers from Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, Bridgewater State University, and Stonehill College.

Because of the nice weather, our friends were feeling pretty good, and we had to remind a few of them to be kind to one another. We were a small team so not as many prayer requests as usual:

- Fred asked for prayers for his family.

- Tyrone asked for peace and health, especially as the homeless are moved into the new shelter (hopefully on Wednesday).

- Donna is hoping for a new life.

- There was a nice lady who wouldn’t accept prayer in person so we’ll pray for her in private.

- Bonita asked that we pray for all the people in the shelter being moved to the new location.

- Chris is praying for peace of mind.

- Kimberly, who is usually so happy talking to us seemed depressed today and wouldn’t accept prayer. We love her, and she’s having a really tough time so please lift her up.

- Tony is praying for peace of mind and sad thinking about his deceased parents.

- Julio prayed with me in Haitian (the Lord’s Prayer)

- Mary is asking for prayers for her children and for her health to improve.

- Ashley got beaten up and had $20 stolen so she is finding a new place to sleep and hoping they don’t find her again.

- Michelle prayed the Lords Prayer for me in Haitian.

- Cathy is aware that there are demons all around her. (She calls them skin walkers.) She accepted prayer and is clearly worried about her circumstances.

- Anthony is praying that his legal issues get resolved and offered us an extensive history of the injustices that have been inflicted on him. He is also praying that his mom would overcome her gambling addiction.

- Anastasia, Anthony’s friend, also asked for prayers.

- Junior was in a good mood and asked for prayer.

- Heather is looking thin and frail and she needs prayer.

It was a wonderful day of service! We are so proud of Aubrey, who will be graduating soon, and we’re praying for Melena and Caroline, who have finals coming up. Often we talk about how grateful we are for our supporters, and we are, but it’s important for all of you to know that your contributions and prayers enable us to do what we do. We hope you feel God’s grace and peace, as you truly are an active participant in this ministry. Thank you!
