Brockton - May 31, 2026

It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day as LYNN Ministries served 84 of our friends across 4 locations in Brockton. There were only 6 of us on the team but fortunately our friends arrived as a steady stream of traffic rather than an overwhelming flood. Some people were “under the weather” but most were clear-eyed and embraced our service. There were a few sprinkles of rain towards the end, but it was not enough to slow down our mission.

There were many, many prayer requests. So many people asking for prayers for their families. I hope you’ll join us in praying for the following people:

– Nicholas was quite brusque when we first met him but he came back asking for seconds and explained that he was just so hungry that it caused him to be rude.

– Sue is praying for her daughter that she is able to quit drugs.

– Derek does demolition work but recently his checks have not been cleared by the bank. He’s worried that he’s getting taken advantage of. He’s trying to save this money for housing for himself, his girlfriend, and their dog.

– Donnie seemed very together today and shared that he has been able to significantly reduce his methadone dose at the clinic and he’s been getting healthier.

– Chris, who asked to be called Snidely, helped us set up at our first stop in Perkins Park. He was also quite helpful with all our other friends to make sure they were polite.

– Bruins John came to see us and complained that since he had surgery he has had a very difficult time walking up and down the stairs. We are praying for his healing.

– McKenson is praying for his family and for a job.

– Reschel is feeling better after a health challenge two weeks ago. She needs a knee replacement and is worried about that.

– Henrison is praying that he can quit cigarettes and marijuana.

– Cobi is praying for a better life.

– Larry is using a walker and is praying that his leg will get better.

– Victor (1) is praying for family peace.

– Hector was very helpful interpreting for a man who was very drunk. However he was desperate for more food and it was clear that he had been starving. The man was very thankful and we also thank Hector.

– Mary is well but is hoping to get a small oxygen tank so that she can be more mobile. So far her medical advocate has not been able to get one for her.

– Becca is praying for her hips and knees to get better, for our troops, and she is thankful for being sober for three months.

– James (1) is praying for his daughter.

– Adelina and I shared a time of prayer and communion. She is praying for protection. She described her experience with God as amazing and said that she had to lose everything to find him. She now sees her present and future through his eyes. She is also distraught as she does not have access to her five children who are with family but she assured us they are safe.

– Leah is praying for her health.

– Samantha and John are praying for their relationship.

– April was so moved during our time of prayer. She is struggling on the street and is looking to see God‘s hand.

– Thomas is praying for communal peace.

– John is praying for his relationship with his girlfriend.

– Jerome is praying for stability and to stay the course with God. (We had a wonderful time of prayer.)

– Victor (2) is praying for his family.

– Tom has a broken femur and cellulitis in his calf. He’s confined to a wheelchair and is praying for healing.

– Danilson is praying for his sister, his children and his health.

– Simeon (1) is praying to have a transition into a new home.

– Marsaly dropped out of college due to finances and cannot find a job. She was working on a psychological degree and is hoping to get back to school.

– Maxwell is praying for a better relationship with his mother and for improved living conditions.

– Dave has been in the shelter for a few months. We saw him a few years ago when he was very thin and had an infected leg. It is good to see him doing better and we pray for his safety.

– These are the people who just asked for general prayer: James (and his dog Brownie), Manny, Irene, Andrea, James (in wheelchair), Anthony, Linda, Simeon (2), and Thaddeus.

We are so very thankful to all those who contribute to LYNN Ministries through their time, talent, treasure and prayers. We are truly blessed to have such faithful prayer warriors and contributors. May God bless each one of you this week!
