Brockton - May 24, 2026

On Sunday, it rained all day as LYNN Ministries served 86 of our friends in Brockton. It was not a complete downpour so we didn’t put up the rain canopy, but it still got cold and wet. We had a small team of six people, but God was moving mighty among us.

Sheila showed us a painting that she completed recently and thanked us for getting her painting supplies. We had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, Jesus Revolution Church, St. Mary's Foxboro, Grace Chapel

There were so many prayers this weekend:

– Lala is praying for safety for herself and for her dog named Tink.

– Francis was asking simply for a blessing.

– Laura is thankful for us being there and that we are “all-weather” friends.

– Chris is thankful that people have been helping him. He is also very thankful that all of his friends are OK.

– Lisa is happy that her son is doing well and has a job. She is scared for her potassium levels and she has to go back to the hospital to have those checked.

– Anthony is excited to be moving into an apartment in Stoughton. (And as of today, we’ve heard that he is now there.)

– Lisa was pleased to be able to get a meal but sadly is reporting that our friend Bruins John seems to be struggling with his recovery from surgery.

– India looked scared and is praying to be in a good relationship.

– Don is worried about his mom who has multiple tumors and for his girlfriend who is not well.

– Barbara needs prayer as she is 75 years old and lives in her truck.

– Tara looked beautiful and was wearing a pretty flower.

– Linda told us that Becca is not feeling very well. (We missed her.)

– Angel needs prayer as she has trouble getting around in her walker.

– Donna (Rocky) surprised us at one of our stops to let us know that she missed us.

– Irene is hoping to move into assisted living. She is praying for wisdom.

– Moyo and his friends need prayer as they seemed to be misbehaving in one of the parks. However, they did come over to receive a meal and were in good spirits.

– Christina and her boyfriend Topay are living in a tent and need prayers.

– Christian needs prayers as he is living outside.

– Tony told us that he is feeling under the weather.

– Richard needs a lot of prayer because he says that right now life is too much.

– PJ is praying for better health.

– Mike had a healthy outlook when he said that there are worse places than the shelter.

– Jax is praying for peace on earth.

– People who are asking just for a simple blessing include James, Jean, Freddy, Toussaint, (the other) Jean, Mary, Jay, Angie (with no sleeves), Angie (friends with Sean), and Michael.

We are so very thankful for all those who contribute to LYNN Ministries and making it possible to serve the least of these in Brockton.
