Brockton - June 7, 2026

Last Sunday was a beautiful day to be serving our friends in Brockton. The meal was a Mexican chicken bake, fresh fruit, home baked goods, snacks, and iced tea or lemonade. We had a small team of six people, and I was outnumbered as the only guy. We also had a new volunteer who said she found the experience very rewarding.

We had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, Grace Chapel, Jesus Revolution Church (Brockton), The Fellowship (Easton)

The team served 96 meals across five locations and offered many prayers. Here they are:

– Mark told us that Carrie had passed away (drowned). Her boyfriend Sean is overwhelmed with grief.

– Jillina is praying for her family.

– Donnie asked for prayers for his mother who is on chemo and for his girlfriend.

– Richard 1 is praying to get out of Brockton and have a lower rent.

– Richard 2 is praying for care and compassion.

– Michelle is praying that the spider bites we see on her face will not become infected and for permanent housing.

– It was nice to see Christina laughing.

– Jose is praying for the health and well-being of Contiflia

– James 1 (and his dog Brownie) are praying for health and happiness.

– Bill (a veteran) received a crocheted afghan made in the form of an American flag. He has surgery next week.

– Sal and Marie were so happy to receive communion from us.

– Mark 2 is praying that the injuries to his leg will not result in a staph infection. He is desperate for both safety and protection.

– Angel is praying for the healing of her broken bones.

– Nori was in very good spirits and looked very healthy. We need to continue to pray for her health.

– Jennifer has a bad back that needs healing and is suffering from blood poisoning.

– Sharif is praying for his family and for a sense of purpose.

– Travis is praying for patience and motivation to get proper housing. He only has 30 more days in the shelter.

– Derek is praying for housing and to get into a program.

– Many people just asked for general prayer including Sean, Sheila, Manny, Ivy, Bruins John, Freddy, Andy, Shawna, Junior, Shaggy, Linda, James (wheelchair), John, Corrie , Courtney, Autumn, Kevin, and Mark (Wit).

It really was a wonderful day out on the street and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve our friends. We hope you feel God’s blessing!
