Brockton - June 29, 2025
Sunday was a beautiful day to be serving in Brockton with temperatures in the mid 80s. Most of our friends were in a good mood, although a few were cranky from the heat. We served almost 90 people across three locations, providing food, cold drinks, and some special requests for clothing.
We had volunteers join us from Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, Beacon Covenant Church, Attleboro, Grace Chapel Foxboro, St. Mary's Foxboro, St Gregory the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church. There were many prayers requested and provided and here is the list:
* John is praying for his mom who passed away, and for his faith because he feels like he’s losing it. He goes to court on Monday and is hoping for a good outcome. We had a long talk about Jesus.
* Carrie Lynn is praying for her kids.
* Stephan is praying for his family in Puerto Rico.
* Enoch and Pierre are praying for God‘s blessing.
* Danica and Tim are hoping to come into some money. They are praying for their daughter Zala.
* Janet is looking pretty healthy. Which makes us very helpful.
* Robert is praying for his walk with God and says he prays every day.
* Carlos is praying to get his life straightened out.
* Francisco found out that the lump on his head is not malignant. He is now working to get his own apartment.
* Michele is praying for everything.
* Russell needs a platelet transfusion and feels like society believes he is expendable. He needs prayers.
* Maria is praying for better communication with her daughter.
* Joseph is praying for his addiction to cocaine, and his family. He has two children.
* Irene is praying about headaches that she has. She is very happy that friends call her every day.
* Victor is praying for everyone.
* Mike is just out of rehab and is already using again. But just a little. His father died recently, and he feels very badly about himself. He said he is not worthy to pray to God. He needs prayers and we need to be able to reach him that everyone is worthy of prayers.
* Kerrie used to only see the nastiness in people, but now she sees the goodness of God. She gives us hope.
* Mark is new on the street and unsure how things work. He needs prayers to get adjusted to life in the shelter.
* Scott is praying for LYNN Ministries and for Debbie.
* Brittany is due in a month and is praying for her new baby and family.
* Shawna is hoping to get custody of her nephew. She is praying fervently.
* Roshonda is suffering from some mental health disorders and is trying to use her coping strategies. She appreciates the prayers.
Thank you all for your ongoing support of LYNN Ministries. We could not do this without you!
