Brockton - July 26, 2026

It was a gorgeous day on Sunday as we served 102 friends on the streets of Brockton. The skies were clear. The air was warm (but not hot), which made for a very busy day as many people were in need of support. We had a small team of 6 people, which meant we were hustling. Sadly, we ran out of food at the 2nd stop and were not able to make it to our 3rd stop. We know that our friends at that location were disappointed, and we apologize, but recent service numbers have been lower so we were not expecting to be overwhelmed at the first two stops. We look forward to seeing them this coming Sunday.

One of our volunteers brought nail polish and tools to give manicures to our friends. Those who received them were so pleased to get such personal attention.

There were also a great number of prayer requests:

– Tara is asking for prayers for her daughter and her family.

– Rodney is praying to see God at work.

– Scott is praying for his two brothers, John has pancreatic cancer, Jim has COPD.

– Amanda is praying for her children, her husband and her mother.

– Donny is praying that his back pain will be healed. We laid hands on him and prayed for a miracle.

– JoJo is praying for security and understanding.

– Derek is praying for a cure to his colon cancer.

– Stephen is praying for his family and is pleased to be alive after he was stabbed earlier in the week.

– Joseph is praying for help with his problems and for wisdom.

– Cliff is praying for blessings and for his family.

– James (with his dog, Brownie) is praying for health for his new granddaughter, for good fortune, and for LYNN Ministries. (He has 15 grandchildren!)

– Barbara (Hot Wheels) said that she visited with God this morning and is at peace, and is looking forward to see how He can use her.

– Moyo needs prayers as he continues to battle addiction.

– Zoo is praying for clothes. Sadly, we did not have any with us and she is desperate.

– Leslie was beaten up and robbed and has been hearing a lot of gunshots. She is scared and needs prayers.

– Russell told us he doesn’t use a tent in the summer. When school is out, groups of kids will collapse a tent and start beating whatever is inside. (This world is so messed up.) He seems fatalistic about his future and hopes his death will be painless. He needs prayer.

– Zack is praying for everything and blessings.

– Shara is praying to beat her addictions.

– Jimmy and Jennifer are praying for a few things, Jennifer has a biopsy on Tuesday and is praying to not be worried. She is also praying for her mom who is retired. Jimmy is praying that he’ll have a good outcome from a court date later in August.

– Larry and Kristen are praying for their son in the shelter.

– General prayers were requested for Sheila, Chelsea, India, John, and Autumn

Thank you to all who make LYNN Ministries possible. We are so grateful that you make it possible for us to do this heartwarming work. May God bless you all!
