Brockton - August 2, 2026
It was a beautiful day in Brockton on Sunday as we served over 100 people on the streets. The temperature was in the 80s and the air was dry making it a wonderful day and all three locations were quite busy. By the time we were done we had run out of all our food and water.
Much love was shared along with laughter and teasing. Here are some of the prayer requests:
– Boss (?) asked to pray for his enemies.
– Danache has lots of problems that he’s praying but mostly looking for work and needing a home.
– Susan has been in and out of the hospital with a cyst and infection. A “boyfriend” tried to rob her and she got banged up. I hate what life on the streets does to our friend’s perception of “normal”.
– Justin and Fisner, 2 guys from Haiti recited the Lord‘s Prayer in Creole.
– India is praying that nobody shoots her.
– Andrea continues to mourn the loss of Bobby and is praying that she gets to see her kids.
– Kenny is home from the hospital and rehab. He’s still battling with health issues like diabetes that cause him to lose his balance. He is praying that the drug dealers and addicts will stay away from his building.
– Suriah is praying for her family and “everything”.
– Chris (we haven’t seen him in ages) is thankful that his daughter got her driver’s license and his brother needs a job.
– Kerri has a birthday on Friday. She’s thankful that she’s not in jail. (This is the first time in five years she’s celebrated her birthday without any legal issues.) She is praying that no one makes her mad. (We talked about how she controls her anger and she needs to be a duck so stuff rolls off her back.)
– Donny is finally in a wheelchair but has excruciating pain.
– Chuck hurt his foot in a lawnmower accident and is praying for his bad relationships. He got sober, but because of his injury they put him on pain meds. He’s worried about relapsing into addiction.
– James (and Brownie the dog) are just thankful.
– Becca is praying that God will protect the MA State Police.
– Linda is praying for Anthony who had a bad seizure.
– Hawk is praying to stay safe on his scooter and to be positive.
– Phil is praying for protection, for his friends, for his girlfriend and he’s delighted to be playing the saxophone.
– Will has had a lot of surgery recently and is looking really thin, but he’s thankful for listening to Phil play saxophone in the park.
– Eddy suffered a broken collarbone and is praying for healing.
– Erica just lost her boyfriend Alvin and is heartbroken.
– We’re thankful that Willey (a Good Samaritan) has been serving in the park and prayed for us.
– Others who need general prayer include Sheila, Guillermo, Louis, Barbara, Jeanne Donny, Mary, Nori, and Marie
We are so thankful for all of you who make this ministry possible and we pray that the Lord will bless you this week.
