Brockton - July 28, 2024
Sorry for the late post. We’ve had some family issues to address. Sunday was a hot and emotional day on the streets of Brockton where we served 111 meals of Buffalo chicken casserole. People are grieving the loss of our friend Bobby and sadly we saw more open drug use than in past weeks. It’s as if desperation has turned into intentional apathy or revolt. It was interesting however that in one of the parks, we were asked to keep our distance because, “You guys really don’t need to see this.” So there is an awareness of right and wrong, and that’s a starting place for Jesus.
Here are this weeks prayer requests:
- Terry is asking for prayers for a kidney transplant in MGH. (It keeps getting delayed.)
- John is asking for prayers for his family’s health
- Elizabeth’s mom is sick and needs prayer
- Anthony is praying that he can return to GA soon
- Sarah is struggling to live outdoors while in a foot brace
- Kenny is in a bad way and needs prayer. He was beaten up and has cracked ribs and tells us he’s been struggling to find a job for so long that he’s given up on God
- Jose is praying for his girlfriend who is strung out. He says prayer is best when it it’s fresh
- Jenna wants prayers for her family
Thank you all for caring enough to read about our friends. We hope you are praying for them because God hears those prayers. Go be the loving person God made you to be!
