Brockton - July 20, 2025

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship, that served in Brockton on Sunday.

Grace and Peace, a common greeting in Paul’s letters to the church. What does that simple greeting imply? For us at the Fellowship who support LYNN Ministries mission to the homeless, its reality is manifest in meeting needs of people through a Grace filled mind set.

So our team brought God’s Grace to our friends in the city of Brockton on Sunday July 20, 2025. Upon arriving at our first area of service the team immediately engaged in greetings, handshakes and smiles with our friends who were waiting for us i.e.,… Grace. Then Peace set in as an orderly line developed to wait for their turn to be served. We were gripped by so many expressions of gratitude by people in need of our offering of food and cold drinks, i.e., the first words expressed to us were “I am so glad to see you guys I’m so hungry or thank you for coming I’ve had nothing to eat today”. To our Fellowship partners if you took the time to purchase supplies, make the meal and then drop it by the church – it is well received, nice work and thank you.

We stopped at three locations on Sunday, Main Street, a park near city hall and lastly at the new shelter on Manley Street in Brockton. Each stop was unique and in some ways a blessing and in other ways difficult. The last stop at the new shelter was a huge blessing. Our Team Leadership arranged and set-up haircuts for people who do not have access to that simple item that we have access to whenever we need it. The stylist/barber set a schedule that allowed for 14 haircuts. The incredible blessing happened when the barber introduced one of our friends living at the shelter to Jesus, adding a new member to the kingdom.

It’s not easy to put words to what happens when we minister in Brockton but what does happen when we are there is God’s Grace and Peace surround the area we are in.

Thank you to The Fellowship for supporting the mission of LYNN Ministries!
