Brockton - Feb 22, 2026
Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team at The Fellowship church in Easton who served in Brockton last Sunday. Thank you to that team for your faithful service in a difficult situation!
Today's trip into Brockton was anything but typical. With the impending storm, we were unsure if we would find large crowds or small numbers of friends with many having found shelter. As it turned out, the numbers were quite small. Yet, those we served were truly grateful. We blessed many with an extra helping of food. We also gave warm clothing to friends in great need. One woman walked up to us in flip-flops, and walked away with a new pair of boots.
We also experienced the unexpected. Our transportation suffered a flat tire which could not be fixed on site. Thankfully, we had additional transportation on hand to get our team home. Even when things don't work according to our plans, we know God's plan is better.
We were disappointed that our problem shortened our day, but we are thankful that so many of our friends on the streets were not out in the weather and have found temporary shelter. As you hunker down and ride out the harsh weather in your home, remember to pray for those experiencing life on the streets during this incredibly difficult season.
