Brockton - March 1, 2026
Sunday, it was an overcast and cold day and as the snow started to fall, we found ourselves having to adjust where we parked and how we served because snow banks were blocking the sidewalks. But we had great joy in serving so many of our friends out on the streets of Brockton and we were delighted to have Deb back on the streets with us.
We had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, St. Mary's Foxboro
There were a number of prayer requests:
– Donnie is praying for his mother as she faces surgery and for his girlfriend.
– Christine is praying to keep her apartment.
– Stephanie is praying that she’s able to keep her apartment that her health will stay strong and for her five children.
– our friend (Zamboni) John was so very thankful for the boots he received the previous week.
– Mary is praying that she can keep her apartment and for her children.
– Anthony is praying to find a place where he can stay dry through the coming storm.
– Scott is praying for everyone at the shelter.
– Cassandra has two jobs and is really happy right now so she asked for prayers of Thanksgiving.
– Quentin is praying that he can get out of the shelter.
– Katherine is praying for housing and health.
– Others who just received a very quick blessing include Adam, Manny, Sheila, Angela, (other) Sheila, (other) Mary, Linda, Guillermo, Michel, Jeff, Angie, Frankie (and Melyssa), (GQ) John, Anna, and Susan.
Thank you again to all those who contribute their time, their effort, their talents, and financially to keeping this ministry going. It has been a very difficult winter, but we are hoping that warmer weather will bring lighter hearts. Thank you again and God bless you!
