Brockton Easter Sunday - April 20, 2025

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team at The Fellowship church in Easton, that served in Brockton on Easter Sunday

The sun shone bright in Brockton this Easter Sunday as we served and engaged with our friends living on the margins. The crowd was small - probably around 55 people - but the opportunities to rejoice in victories and give God the glory were many.

- Sue met us at the park, anxious to tell us that she's now one month sober. She looked different - healthy, vibrant, happy. We praised God with her and asked for continued strength as she travels the road of recovery.

- We prayed with others who are struggling with addiction but recognizing the struggle and earnestly desiring something better.

- Mike is living under the railroad tracks. He's been homeless 4 years, and he asked for prayer to gain victory over his addiction.

- Tony is struggling with drugs and life's "hard knocks". He knows Jesus loves him and died for him, but he remains trapped in a vicious cycle. We prayed with Tony and Kayla for peace (specifically peace of mind and peace on the streets).

- Francisco asked us to pray over his upcoming visit with his daughter in New Bedford. Francisoo is also in need of medical attention for a growth on the back of his head. He's expecting to have an MRI soon.

In all these encounters, we're constantly reminded that the answers are found in Christ. He came to make whole the broken. We thank him for showing us how to listen more intently, pray more specifically, and love more genuinely.
