Brockton - April 19, 2025

Saturday was a beautiful day in Brockton as we served our friends on the streets. We were joined by a family from St. Mary's Foxboro, as well as volunteers from Church of Emmanuel, and Paws & Claws - bellingham, who had made 130 Easter gift bags. We also shared over 90 easter eggs decorated by Norwood High School.

We only served 47 Easter meals (there were others ministries providing food) but shared 60 baked goods, 71 snacks, and at least that much fruit and 100 Easter gift bags were delivered.

More important than the food were the conversations and prayers. There was a lot of laughter and joy! We also had some heart warming reunions with people who used to be homeless and are now employed, housed, and one now owns a thriving business!

Here is the prayer list:

- Felix is praying for his cousin Karen who just had surgery for a pace maker, and for another cousin Sue who had a stroke.

- John was proud that he redonated a winter coat we had given him so it can be shared next winter.

- Freddy was feeling pretty glum. He is Catholic and doesn’t feel welcome at his local church. His faith is low and he is suffering from a heart ailment. But he engaged much more than usual and let us pray over him.

- Tim and Danica were happy to see us and ask for prayers for health.

- (Bruins) John was wearing a patriots hat (what’s with that?) and accepted prayers for his finances and getting a new ID.

- Tremel is praying for housing

- Eugene was flustered because all the people he tried to call were not picking up so he is praying his family is OK.

- Jimmy wants to get clean and sober.

- Steve (Legs) was a hoot. His story of losing both legs in a construction accident was tragic but he was in great spirits and wanted prayer for peace.

- We ran into Kevin who has been absent for a couple years. He accepted prayers for faith and hope. Sadly he told us our friend Gary fell in the shower and died.

- Mark is praying for better housing.

- Jesse saw us on the streets and stopped to share the news that his business is expanding. (He used to be “a little homeless” about 8 years ago, when we were serving him.)

We are so very thankful for all our supporters and followers. Please keep prayers coming for our friends on the street and for all of our volunteers. Happy Easter
