Jesus on the Streets - October 30, 2022
It was a gorgeous day on the Sunday before Halloween when we served 97 people in Brockton. We were mobbed at Pastor Roberto’s, possibly because it was end of the month and people were low on cash. Fortunately, everyone was in a good mood and it was a very pleasant day of service. We ran into another ministry near the Library who thought it would be fun challenge us to a game of “who is more Christian”, which is always a good time (eye roll). Anyway we should probably move on to the prayer requests.
Diane is praying to get into permanent housing and she hopes to keep “bumping into God”.
Magic Rain and Moon (her real name but she liked the street name I gave her of Blessed) is thankful that she made a new friend at the shelter but she needs a job.
Chris is thankful that Theresa now has a place to live.
(A different) Chris is excited that his youngest daughter sang with a chorus before a Providence Bruins game.
Lisa was crying as I prayed for her and admitted that she knows that Jesus has opened a door for her but she’s too scared to step through.
Anthony is devastated because both his sisters struggle with addiction, and one of them recently had a miscarriage.
James had a really bad morning but it got better.
Marly is praying to simply stay alive.
Patty is waiting on a new apartment.
Ricardo is praying for his wife who gets drunk in front of their 3 children, but he’s been resisting beer so happy for small victories.
It was an interesting day, but it always is. Come join us sometime! Thanks to all our friends, supporters, and prayer warriors!
