Jesus on the Streets (Palm Sunday) - April 2, 2023
What a beautiful day to be on the streets of Brockton where we served 87 meals of chicken piccata along with fruit and home baked goods. We count meals served because that’s easy, but what we really care about is the conversations attached to each of those meals. Relationships are the heart of LYNN Ministries and healthy relationships are the start of life transformation. We’re so happy when we get to catch up with our friends.
Here are some of this weeks prayer requests:
- Robert & Anthony continue to ask for safety on the streets.
- Donna is happy to have housing.
- Désirée and her young son are looking for housing.
- John is hoping for a fast recovery from shingles
- Chris is praying for his daughter who is 5 months pregnant
- Kenny was away and sober for a year but has now returned and… He’s asking for prayers to climb back on the wagon.
- Miko wants to get sober.
- John is getting his teeth fixed, his feet fixed, and is getting an injection in his hand to loosen up the joints. Mostly he wants prayers for his family.
- Will is thankful to get tshirts from us. Two things he said, “Deb gave me a blue shirt because it matched my eyes!” (He was so excited.) Then he said, “Every time I visit you guys I leave feeling better than when I arrived!”
- Big Jay accepted prayers to become the man that God designed him to be. (He also taught me his handshake.)
- Lou is praying for health and peace of mind.
- Marisela wants prayers for her 5 kids.
- Hector is praying for a good week with no one dying in Brockton.
- Will N is praying for his ex-wife.
- Nicole is praying for her son PJ.
- Charmaine is in her 60s and is asking for prayer as she’s new to living on the streets.
- Sammy is fasting for 7 days and wouldn’t accept any food from us.
- Miguel is hoping for help finding a job.
As always we are incredibly blessed by your prayers and support. Happy Palm Sunday! We love you all.
