Jesus on the Streets (now it gets busy) - March 26, 2023
It was a nice day in Brockton where we served 110 meals to people on the streets. We had a small team and it was super busy (we ran out of food toward the end), as many of our friends were out enjoying the blue skies.
There were many people who just wanted to talk and pray:
A woman named Sammy is scared living on the streets. She looked beaten up with a Band-Aid over her eye and guys were hovering nearby. She stuck near us as long as she could but would not accept any other help. She claims she is OK and asked prayers of protection and for her 2 children.
Patrick has been sober for 21 days. Yay!
Rashawn is thankful for having a good week.
Larry is asking for protection from demonic spirits.
Darren is hoping to get reconnected with the Lord.
Will is praying for health.
Scott is praying his daughter Nicole is safe.
Marisela is praying for Mark and her 5 children (aged 14-30).
Elizabeth is praying for her friend Peter who fell from a window.
Cassandra has a housing meeting on Monday and is afraid (doesn’t know what to expect).
Dave is praying for his estranged wife (Patty), his 2 children, and 8 grandchildren.
Mike is praying to find work, permanent housing and for his family.
Diane is living in her car and thinks the police are watching her.
Chris is happy that his girlfriend is off drugs and no longer prostituting herself.
Wayne is praying for his ex-girlfriend, another friend, for his family, and his friend Matt who died of an overdose.
Thank you to all our supporters for participating in various ways to serve the least of these.
