Jesus on the Streets (on a weird day) - July 9, 2023

Today was a weird day on the streets of Brockton where we served 108 meals and even more people. It was overcast, but it didn’t rain so hey, we’ll call it a win. Most people we met seemed pretty quiet and reserved but we did have some very good conversations and many prayer requests.

- Lorraine is praying for her disability check to arrive and to get out of the shelter. Dave served her communion which made her really happy.

- Taide is new to being homeless and praying for safety.

- Tony’s mother Theresa is going into surgery and is worried.

- Miko is praying for change as her husband died and she’s heartbroken. She’s hoping that his pension will continue and his life insurance will be honored.

- Chris is happy he has an apartment but is worried for his mom who has cancer.

- Junior said he’s going into a program on Monday. Praying that he did.

- Patrick didn’t have work last week and is depressed. We’re praying he can stay sober and has work this week.

- Chris is mad because his girlfriend Theresa is doing cocaine again and was hospitalized.

- We were so happy to see Nando who had a 10 hour surgery to remove Stage 2 cancer in his abdomen. We’re praying for complete healing.

- Dave has an infected leg (really bad) and is heartbroken because his mom died and his baby mom wants a divorce. Praying for this young man who was in tears as we prayed.

- Brittany said she was going into rehab on Monday and we’re praying she followed through.

Thank you all so much for helping us love the lost and despairing!
