Jesus on the Streets of Attleboro (on a sunny day) - June 11, 2022

Here’s an update from our team at Evangelical Covenant Church, Attleboro.

Saturday was a bright, sunny day to serve the homeless and at risk population of Attleboro. We were able to serve about 40-45 folks, with prayer, encouragement, cold drinks, home made baked goods, snacks, and clothes. We also ventured out, and found a new campsite, where a couple of folks were living. They were not home, so we left them each a bag with all of the provisions, plus a note that we were from LYNN Ministries, and would return the second Saturday of the month. Hopefully, we’ll be able to serve them again.

It was a busy day, as there were more people, and we had a couple of team members that were not able to serve, due to sickness, so we only have a few pictures. Prayer list for this month includes: Joyce, who has been cancer free for 2 years, and is going for a PET scan and MRI. Pray for no cancer. Lloyd is living in a friend’s garage, please pray for a room for him, as well as hope. As he says, when he is not laughing, he is crying. It’s been a long few years on the streets for Lloyd. Debbie is looking for a room, and has been homeless since last July. She is a diabetic, and has been living in a doorway of a building, to get out of the weather. She’s only 31st on the list for housing, so she needs a miracle to get a place. We heard that our friend Bobby (Bob), tried to commit suicide at the soup kitchen. Fortunately, he was not successful, and is in the hospital. Please pray for physical and mental healing, and hope for Bob. Ms. LeBlanc’s daughter, Pattie, has a growth on her thyroid. Prayers for treatment and healing. When we returned to ECC, we met a young man called Joshua, who was just wandering around the street, looking for someone to talk to. We engaged him, and gave him some food, and told him when to come for service. We hope to see him again in church.

Thank you to all who pray for our friends, and help us in this ministry.
