Jesus on the Streets - November 5, 2023
It was a beautiful day to be with our friends in Brockton as we served 96 meals of Mediterranean Chicken and helped over 110. People were in good spirits and patient as they waited to be served. There were so many people requesting prayer, it has been a growing part of our time on the streets as more of our friends see LYNN Ministries as much more than food and clothes.
We did not see anyone under the bridges today. We’ve heard that the police have been making people move but we’re not sure where they’re supposed to go.
Here is a short list of prayers:
- Gerald is asking for prayers for his friend Peter for recovery.
- Richelle is praying her housing is finalized.
- Susan is praying her body gets better,
- Will is thankful that his knee and his head are now completely healed.
- Sal is asking for prayers for his friend Jamie who is dying and does not know Christ.
- Pierre is praying for Haiti
- Terry is praying for his sisters who are having a tough time
- James is praying for sobriety
- Jonathan lost his leg and is in a wheelchair and sleeps outside. He is thankful for New England Patriots Foundation donating Empowerment Plan coats that act as a sleeping bag at night.
- Kiahlee is a young woman who lives alone on the streets. Her eyes are clear and she does not seem to be a user. She seems vulnerable and it makes us worry about her. She just asks for prayer, whatever God puts on our hearts.
- John is praying for health and housing after losing his apartment in a flood.
- Gina is worried about going to court on Tuesday (financial stuff).
- Stephanie is praying for a healthy pregnancy.
- Eddie (a veteran) who lost all his belongings in a fire was so thankful for the clothes we could provide.
- Marshall (Hawk) is praying for a job and his mom’s health.
- Antonio celebrated 13 months sober!
Thank you to all those who make LYNN Ministries possible. Your help makes a tangible difference out on the streets.
