Jesus on the Streets - November 12, 2023

The team went to Brockton on Nov 12 and served 113 people. It was a busy day and there were an incredible number of special requests for boots, coats, tents and other cold weather gear. I think the word desperate has been used a lot and we may be using it more as the weather turns colder. Our Haitian friends are so ill-prepared for a New England winter.

We had a friend (dog trainer) join us on the streets with her therapy dog in training (puppy). She’s a Newfoundland named Grace and she was a huge hit with our friends.

Here are the prayer requests:

- Chris (and Theresa) - pray that Teresa gets off drugs

- Tony - pray that he stays the course in sobriety

- Derrick and Kim - their home life is "teetering" pray for calmness in their relationship

- Angela - pray that she can stay warm

- John - wants to see his kids in S. Carolina hasn't seen them in 5+ years

- Sal - we all prayed together for peace and calm in their situation

- Anthony (little) - lost his license needs to get his papers together to work

- Jackshom - prayed to get some clothes to stay warm

- John - he had to sell his pickup truck as it was too small looking for another truck

- Brian - sleeping in the woods in a tent, he has blankets to keep him warm but he won't go to shelter as it’s too violent. He fell down on the street and cut his nose. We prayed for peace and calm

- Divine and Karen - pray for their life and the daily situations they face on the streets

- Mary - previous abdominal surgery needs to be repaired and they yell at her in the shelter

- AJ - pray that he gets out of being homeless

- Stefanie - AJ girlfriend general prayer for her

- Michael - has an upcoming court date for assault, pray that it comes out ok

- Diane - pray for her upcoming court date Dec. 13

- Giordianni - from the Dominican Republic pray for his family living in the shelter and facing their first winter
