Jesus on the Streets - March 3, 2024
It was supposed to be warm but overcast today in Brockton, not so much. It was really windy and overcast, which made it feel much colder than 50 degrees. It was a quiet day in Brockton but we shared Jesus’ love with every one of the 54 meals that we put into our friends’ hands. Because it was a low-key day it was a great day for prayer:
Joseph is praying for a job and for prosperity. We prayed that something would happen this coming week that would allow Joseph to serve God and feel His presence.
Maria is praying for blessings and God’s daily provision.
Chris is praying for progress and safety, because there has been some violence in Brockton over the past week. (This is the first time that Chris waited around and asked me for prayer. Normally I ask him if he wants prayer.)
2nd Chris is reading the book “Spare” (about Prince Harry) and is praying for peace of mind.
Kathleen is praying for housing but is worried that her phone has been shutoff.
Michelle is praying for peace as her boyfriend was killed in Boston.
Junior has emerged from the woods where he’s been living and looks pretty good. He fell in the river yesterday trying to get clean and hopes to spend the night tonight at the shelter.
Sal, who is always a joy to see, shared some stories today that make us worried for his safety.
3rd Chris is praying for health for his family and wholeness and steadiness in his life.
Gary drives an 18-wheeler and joined us again this week for a meal and prayer.
It was a fun day to be with our friends and we thank you all for your ongoing support. You make this ministry possible. Thank you!
