Jesus on the Streets (3rd Saturday) - January 21, 2023
Today was the 3rd Saturday of the month so a big team (11) serving food (67 meals), clothes, toiletries, reading glasses, and love, across multiple locations (5), in cold and raw weather (30 deg). It was awesome! We served fewer than usual but were on the streets for 7 hours. There was a lot of desperation and hurting people. We had the honor of serving a bunch of folks living under an overpass. (That’s rough!)
Our friend Drew joined us providing reading glasses and sweatshirts from Ahead USA.
Here are some prayer requests:
Robert is tired and in pain, but he trusts in Jesus.
Ricardo was grateful to receive an Empowerment Coat and boots
Anthony is still struggling with epilepsy seizures (in hospital for 3 days)
Roscoe says he’s been clean from drugs for a year and his girlfriend is expecting.
Darryl is hoping for housing within a couple weeks.
Russell received brand new boots and was thrilled! (Thanks R McNeill.) We met Russell 10 years ago when…we gave him brand new boots.
Carlos wanted prayer for forgiveness from his father who tried to help him accept Christ before he died.
Kathy and Steve are mourning the loss of our friend Bryon.
Robin and Juan are struggling living at the shelter where conditions are rough.
Brianna is new to the streets and afraid.
Jessica is feeling broken, overcome by her addictions, afraid of being vulnerable, living on the streets, and missing her children. She wants us to be praying for all those in her position.
It was an amazing day, and such a gift. Thank you for making this ministry possible!
