Jesus on the Streets - April 7, 2024

What a day serving in Brockton today. 77 meals of chicken Alfredo were served, filling the air with a wonderful aroma. We had a slow but steady stream of friends visiting with us. There was a lot of talk about our sweet friend Stewie Smith who had been tragically injured in an intentional car hit yesterday morning and lots of prayer for people’s safety and for the well being of the city residents. With Jeep being forced into taking a day off we were limited in photo ops but the team rallied and had a pleasant day together.

Prayers lifted for all those who knew Stewie Smith (we learned at the end of the day that he passed away last night of his injuries); for all those living in squalor under the bridges, chained in bondage by their addictions; for a new friend, Dave, new to a life of homelessness. We are so grateful to all of our supporters, for their prayers and support and constant encouragement as we try to bring the light and love of Jesus into the dark spaces of Brockton, MA❤️
