End of 2023 Update

As we close out 2023, Deb and I would like to thank the over 200 volunteers who make LYNN Ministries possible. Whether it is cooking, baking, collecting, cleaning and packing clothes, serving on the streets, contributing financially, or simply praying, each of you is contributing to LYNN Ministries’ success.

Meals are one measure of impact and in 2023 we served 11,028 meals (2,000 more than 2022). That means in the past 13 years we have now served over 50,000 meals in Brockton, Attleboro, and previously in Taunton. The influx of homeless and migrants has been felt every week this past year. And as you can see in the chart, our service really increased during COVID when we moved from serving once per month to multiple times per week. The additional time serving has certainly enhanced our relationships on the streets and the opportunity to share the love of Jesus.

One area of (mild) frustration is that some of our donors choose to be anonymous. We want to offer our personal thanks but we respect your right to privacy. Please know however that we thank you, we pray for you, and we trust you feel God’s presence in your lives.

As we enter 2024 we ask for prayers that a suitable rental space will become available in downtown Brockton where LYNN Ministries can open a weekday resource center for our friends on the streets. Thank you all so much for your continued support. May God bless you in the coming year.
