Brockton - September 6, 2026

It was a beautiful day on Sunday to be serving our friends in Brockton. It started out cool and overcast, but ended with clear skies and sunshine as we served over 80 people on the streets. We were serving a new recipe that our friends really seemed to enjoy.

There was one disturbing moment when a man became aggressive at the Library. Our friends from the park had warned us that earlier he had been trying to beat up three women, so we were on our guard. We should have relocated immediately but we wanted to serve the people that had gathered. However, after serving about a dozen people this man started getting agitated so, we decided to leave that location early and then called the police to ensure everyone else’s safety. It was nice that our friends intervened to protect us and defuse the situation, and while he backed off he was still hovering around. We’re not sure what set this guy off, but we are praying that he regained his composure and didn’t harm anyone later on. In 15 years of street ministry this is the first time we’ve met someone looking for a fight.

The people we serve can be unpredictable, and many suffer from mental illnesses and addictions, but we believe this ministry is vital and we continue to trust in God for protection. We remember it is a privilege and an honor to serve Jesus and fulfill His command to serve those in need.

The day improved as we finished serving in our usual spots and then met some friends in a new location who needed our help.

Here are the prayer requests:
