Attleboro - September 12, 2026

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served in Attleboro on Saturday.

It was a beautiful day to be out serving our homeless and at-risk friends in Attleboro. It was a bittersweet day in some respects, as we know that the biggest campground for our Attleboro folks that have to live outside, was recently closed down. We won't share too many details on that, but over the course of three months we had a lot of volunteers from our LYNN team, Beacon Covenant Church, and some of the homeless folks themselves, spend a lot of time and effort cleaning up the campground. We filled two 30-yard dumpsters of trash, which in some cases had been left in the woods for over a decade. We had been hoping that folks would be allowed to stay there once the project was complete, and they saw all that had been accomplished, but that was not the case. A small consolation is that they were able to stay an additional 3 months. We found out that the 8-10 people that had been actively living there recently have moved to other places, but most of them are now camping somewhere else on their own, and they have lost their community, where they truly did look out for each other. Those who are still outside, are understandably very reluctant to disclose their location, for fear that they will lose their new outside spot, and possessions. Having said all that, we know that God has a plan for each and every person who was displaced from this camp, and we need to pray about it, and place our trust in Him. While we were disappointed with the outcome, we know God's Got This!

Otherwise, we did have a great day serving, although it seems more people are in need, as our number was between 50-55. Folks were generally in a good mood and engaging this month, as the real hot days have ended hopefully, and lack of A/C is not a concern.

Thank you to all who volunteer on the team, bake for us, provide clothing and monetary donations, and who pray for us and our people.

Below is this month's prayer list:

The 8-10 people that had been in the campground, who are now looking for new places to lay their head. Most if not all, will be outside somewhere else, but likely alone. In addition to these 8-10 folks, there are still another 10-15 who are living outside in other locations. All are afraid to tell us where they are, which makes it hard for us to serve. We hesitate to mention any names specifically, as they were very guarded given recent developments.

Charlie - Thanks to God that he has gotten a room, and that it works out better for him this time.

Holly - Hopes to be getting a room as well, but it is not definite yet. Pray that this will become a reality.

Mark - Thanks that therapy and new medications seem to be helping.

Eric & Carrie - Peace as there have been some difficult times recently.
