Brockton - May 12, 2024

Mother’s Day in Brockton was blessed with nice weather, lots of hugs and prayer, and Mother’s Day flowers to all the moms and those who wanted to celebrate or remember their moms. Our friends enjoyed the chicken cacciatore and snacks but the time together even more! 124 meals were served with lots of hugs and prayer. Everyone seemed in good spirits and the team felt privileged to serve as God’s hands and feet, eyes and heart sharing Jesus with our friends. We recognize that the city of Brockton is oppressed by the evil one and we proclaim God’s victory over this city and its people. May it begin with the deliverance of the least of these, our brothers and sisters!!

Prayer requests shared:

Kristen for sobriety. Francisco for upcoming hernia surgery. Lisa that she hear from her children on Mother’s Day. Barrington for housing and joy. Wayne for his brother’s girlfriend recovering from an OD, and as he gets his drivers permit this week. Bob, an elderly veteran, for provisions as his things were stollen during his stay at the shelter. Will, a 66 yo needing back surgery and he’s scared. Irene for her gambling addiction, that she make wise choices when she gets her monthly checks. Joe- knows Jesus and wants release from his addictions, strength to get into a program now that his warrants are cleared. Wendy’s daughter who continues in ICU.

And we continue to ask for prayers of strength and endurance for all our friends battling addiction and mental health challenges, that they see Jesus and know His love for them even in their dark circumstances. Thanks to all who work behind the scenes in continued support of this ministry, and to all those who serve in person and love our friends with compassion and tenderness. You are ALL warriors and we are so grateful!
